How to import and edit

  1. Download the .docx.
  2. Upload it to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs.
  3. Replace the bracketed text and add the scope, exclusions and validity date.
  4. Fill in the line amounts and totals.
  5. File → Download → PDF, then send the PDF for approval.

What makes a quote approvable

One total with the main deliverables broken out, a clear scope, a validity date and a single next step. If the price depends on unknowns, say what they are and how you will price them if they change.

Quote into invoice

The DOCX does not convert itself. Use the online quote generator for a one-click invoice, or copy the line items into the invoice template. Keep the quote number separate from the invoice number.

FAQ

Is the Google Docs quote free?

Yes. The DOCX is free, and Google Docs imports it without an add-on.

Does it calculate tax or totals?

No. Google Docs is a word processor; type the amounts and totals. Use the Excel quote if you want formulas.

Can I share it for approval?

Yes. Share “Commenter” access, or export a PDF and send that for a clean approval record.

Does the layout survive import?

Mostly. Check table widths and fonts after import before exporting the PDF.
